Shores Alumni

Westlake High School's graduating seniors recently celebrated their upcoming graduation by returning to their former elementary school, Saratoga Shores. This heartwarming tradition, gaining popularity across Utah, saw seniors in their caps and gowns parade through the hallways, receiving cheers and applause from elementary students, teachers, and family members.

The "walkthrough" event served as a powerful moment of reflection for the seniors, reminding them of their educational journey and inspiring younger students to strive for their own academic goals. Graduates shared feelings of nostalgia and excitement for the future, while our students looked on in awe, catching a glimpse of their own aspirations.

The event, which often followed our schools' sixth-grade graduations, created a strong sense of community and connection between the different stages of education. It highlighted the impact teachers and early schooling have on students, and provided positive role models for the younger generation.
